Louis-Dreyfus Returns to 'SNL'
Comic Julia Louis-Dreyfus is returning to her roots this weekend and hosting American TV show Saturday Night Live. The former Seinfeld star began her career on the show 21 years ago and is the first female cast member to return to host the hit program. She says, "It's exactly the same schedule and pattern as it was 21 years ago - except more fun." However, she admits her inexperience mitigated her enjoyment of the show the first time round. She adds, "I think a lot of it was my own fault. I didn't know how to navigate the waters of show business in general and specifically doing a live sketch-comedy show. I've learned a little bit since then."

Vaughn: "Jennifer's Great and I Want Kids One Day"
Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn wants to have children, but has yet to discuss it with his girlfriend Jennifer Aniston. The Break-Up co-stars continue to be coy about their relationship and Vaughn insists they aren't rushing into anything. And while the actor tells chat show queen Oprah Winfrey he loves to spend time with the Rumor Has It star, he is keen to make light of rumors surrounding their reported wedding. He says, "Jennifer's great. She's just really smart and funny and easy to be with - very considerate. She's great. I think (having children) takes a lot of focus, takes a lot of attention. I think it would be nice at some point to have a different priority. I think that time would come. But not any time in the near future for me. No, I have not talked about having kids with Jennifer. First we have to have the $8 million wedding."

Sambora Denies Affair
Bon Jovi star Richie Sambora has denied claims his love for former Bond girl Denise Richards sparked the end of his marriage to Heather Locklear. The guitarist stunned fans when he was spotted kissing his wife's former best friend Richards in April, just four months after Locklear filed for divorce, and has been hounded by reports of a secret affaire ever since. He tells American magazine Us Weekly, "I will do anything to enable all of us to move past all of this. I remained faithful during my marriage. And I defy anyone to refute that." Sambora's representative adds, "His family is his number one priority. Richie is the greatest guy, and he wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone close to him."

'Darko' Director Investigated Over "Terrorism Links"
Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly could be forced to miss the Cannes Film Festival because his passport is being reviewed by the US Government. Homeland Security is investigating 31-year-old Kelly, reportedly because there is a James Kelly on the terrorist watch list. Fearing he will be unable to attend the premiere of his new movie Southland Tales at Cannes later this month, Kelly has contacted a US senator and has recruited his mother to hunt out documents to help him prove his American citizenship. The Virginia-born writer/director fears the issue could be connected to the plot of his new movie, which is in part about security measures taken by the Us Government following 9/11. He says, "The paranoid conspiracy freak inside me is starting to think this has something to do with the film."

Spacey Stays Strong
American star Kevin Spacey has hit back at criticism of his management of London theatre The Old Vic and is determined to complete his 10 year contract. The actor recently cut short the run of Arthur Miller's Resurrection Blues, directed by Robert Altman, following poor reviews, one of which called for his resignation as artistic director. He also closed the theatre during the height of the summer tourist season. But Spacey has learned his lessons and is moving on. He says, "It will never matter what anyone ever says. If you believe in something enough, nothing can dissuade you from doing it. I'm here for a long time. And we will have other plays that won't work. It's not an exact science."

Fonda and Hayek Urge Mexican Government To Act Over Juarez Killings
Crusading actresses Jane Fonda and Salma Hayek teamed up on Tuesday to urge the Mexican government to act over the unsolved murders of women in the bordertown of Ciudad Juarez. Since 1993, over 350 women have been killed in the northern Mexican city, just south of the Texas border. Fonda, 68, and Hayek, 39, performed in a benefit performance of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues in Mexico City last night, with proceeds from the show going to charities supporting women in Ciudad Juarez. At a news conference, Fonda said, "If the Mexican government doesn't put energy and resources into stopping these crimes and prosecuting the perpetrators, this is going send a message to the rest of the world." Mexican-born Hayek fumed, "It's really an embarrassment. In 10 years, it's not possible to secure this area? We won't let them (local authorities) rest." Hayek revealed she is taking time out of her film career to focus on fighting for women's rights, and in particular, justice for the Juarez women. Playwright and women's rights campaigner Ensler added, "It's now seven years later and we are still here fighting for the rights and the dignity and the honour and the safety of the women of Juarez. This is an outrage."

Snoop Dogg Meets With Police in UK
Rapper Snoop Dogg arrived in Britain yesterday to meet with officers at a London police station. The hitmaker was arrested with five members of his entourage on April 26 on suspicion of affray and violent disorder following a brawl at London's Heathrow Airport. According to reports, Snoop's entourage reacted angrily when they were turned away from the First Class lounge, where they were hoping to wait before boarding a flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. After spending a night behind bars, the 34-year-old was released and finally flew out of the UK two days later than scheduled.

Houston Denies Brain Tumor
Pop superstar Whitney Houston has furiously denied reports she has been diagnosed with a deadly brain tumor, and has threatened tabloid The National Enquirer with legal action. The Bodyguard hitmaker has been dogged by reports questioning her health and alleged drug use in recent months. Houston's publicist says, "It's an absolute lie and Ms. Houston is evaluating her legal options at this time." However, The National Enquirer is refusing to back down: "We are standing by the story 100 percent."

Simpson's Best Friend Quits As Her Assistant
Jessica Simpson is devastated after her best friend Cacee Cobb quit her job as her personal assistant. The Dukes Of Hazzard star has relied on her childhood pal for the past two years, with the pair even sharing a home. Toasting the future on Sunday when Cobb officially ended her employment with the star, Simpson gushed, "You are my best friend, I will be your best friend forever." A representative for Simpson tells American magazine Us Weekly, "It's true. They remain close."
